Ok ,I have to congratulate both the CSN and the BSA for putting on probably the best ever contest at soup bowl this weekend .It was refreshing to hear a local voice on the P/A system it was nice to hear Billy Mystic on the mic and everyone else that contributed, the judging was first class all weekend poor chris i could not believe my eyes when he paddled out in the repocharge bad luck guess as Matthew said you were going a bit too fast for the judges to see you properly .got to slow it down a bit,but after looking at the pictures published by the BSA to day you can clearly see what the judges saw Lewis St Johns board was totaly vert and at times beyond vert .Good judging .Once again i will mention a couple of names in the best possible way Nick well done Chris well done for being open minded and bringing both associations together guys like Simon Coles and Carlos for breaking down some of the barriers and forging ahead in such recesed times.well done to all of you that made this week end possable.you see it can be done you guys just proved it we dont need the yanks or any one else to take over our contest rember the name Barbados Independence pro classic .its a part of our heritage lets try and hold on to it and be proud of it.last of all thanks to all the surfers that came over from our neighbouring islands times are hard and without you the contest would be lame you all surfed well and i hope you had a good time and will be back again.I hope you read this Nick,so you can see im not always your worst critic ,if i didnt say anything who the hell would.you all got it right .Russell
