The dreadordead repair shop is still cleaning up after hurricane Bill ive been buisy for a few weeks now and im gradualy getting to the end of the carnage .I recieved 4 broken in half boards and about 10 smaller jobs.i will at this point remind every one that epoxy boards cannot be rushed they have a standard drying time and thats it.The styrofoam also soaks up water like a sponge and has to be dry before attempting a repair.polly boards are a bit faster to repair but the foam still has to be dry otherwise the repair will look messy and go realy brown as the salt water dries traped in the board.Any one thats left a board with us for repairs can come and collect bring some cash. Ding repair kits ? due to the humidity here in Bdos the standard kits have been going hard and unusable if left on the shelf to long a lot of the bits and peices in the kits are a waist of time anyway .here is the deal if you want to repair your board bring a couple of bottles down to the repair shop at Amerilis water sports and we will make you up a kit with all fresh resign ,rardeners epoxy or polyester as much cloth as you want 4 or 6 or 8 oz hermes sand paper and you might be able to get a good job done on your own board.ive tried recently to use one of the kits and found the cloth in the kit questionable also the fiber fill stuff extreamly hard to sand you tend to blow another hole in the board around the edges before you get that lump half way down and alwaws a million micro holes.the only mending stuff we will be keeping in the dread or dead shop is the new EPOXY STIX which are the best thing since sliced bread.this stuff works on wet boards dry boards epoxy or polyester its very strong and easy to sand a compleat idiot can use this stuff its as easy as sticking wax in the hole and i dont know who is responsable for that silly idea.if you want to silly fix . a sticker or tape is the ticket.Russell
